Mike was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He has always been active in sports and values teamwork and a supportive family environment to foster independence and growth.
He is a volunteer ski patroller, an determined cyclist, a dedicated novice climber, and inadvertently drinks a lot of water while doing something resembling surfing.
He is interested in movies, road trips, distant places, and filmography to list a few.
To provide education on services, clarify questions, and deliver honest, and valuable triage, services, and tangible outcomes.
Each of us experience emotional peaks and valleys, either individually or in our family/friendship units. It can often become lonely, isolating, and hopeless when we begin to believe that no one will understand or we are somehow fundamentally different than everyone else.
It is my goal to provide to you and your family informative choices of options, expected outcomes, and an understanding that what is being experienced is a moment in time and not unchangeable.
Mike has worked with youth in a variety of settings including conducting suicide assessments in Emergency Rooms, specialized high risk hospital outpatient therapy, the Calgary Young Offender Centre,and in group homes, Mike has worked in outpatient Alberta Health Services sites across Calgary and Canmore.
He has experience consulting with psychiatry, psychologists, Children's Services, legal counsel, doctors, teachers, and school support staff/ agencies.
